Full Job Description

The role is varied, providing accounting, property management and administrative support for the full range of activities within the estate structure. Based at Helmingham, the role also supports a small team based at Peckforton in Cheshire. Some accounting experience is preferred, but the successful applicant must have an aptitude for figures, a keen willingness to learn, be flexible and able to multitask.

The specific responsibilities and components of the role are as follows:

Accounts

· Sales ledger - sales invoices, ensuring payments are received, chasing of any arrears

· Purchase ledger - supplier accounts, verifying and posting of supplier invoices onto the accounts system (Farmplan)

· Re-charges to estate residents and raising the necessary invoices

· Identifying and cost coding all purchase invoices to a number of projects and cost centres, supporting the management accounting process

· Assisting with tenant accounts - monitoring rent receipts and reporting any issues

· Raising of payment runs and sending out remittances

· Monthly supplier statement reconciliations and liaising with suppliers when applicable

Property and adminsitration

· Investigating and resolving any ad-hoc queries

· Filing - both electronic and manual

· Supporting the Accounts and Property Manager on weekly and monthly ad-hoc duties

· Sending tenancy agreements by hard copy or Docusign

· Assistance with organising contractors and repairs

· Dealing with tenant queries

· Property viewings

· Updating health and safety documents with regard to contractors

· Assisting with booking in house training courses

· Some experience working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger

· Background in data entry, record keeping and computer operation

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Some experience with accounting packages such as Farmplan

· Some experience in using online banking systems

· Positive and flexible attitude, with the ability to think laterally and to problem solve

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Good people skills with an ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance personnel

· Willingness to learn about the activities of the various departments

· Must be able to multitask and be versatile

· Able to work in both a busy and quiet environment

· Willingness to learn legislation within the property portfolio,
