Full Job Description

The Administrator/Receptionist will provide a warm and friendly welcome to all members of our school community, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school day. You will work as part of our Junior School administration team in our busy and vibrant Junior School Reception area.

This role is part time, 25 hours per week, term time only

The role is fixed term maternity cover commencing mid June 2024 until April 2025

Our proposed working pattern for this role is: Monday 11:30 am - 5:15 pm, Tuesday 8:00 am - 11:30 am, Wednesday 1.45 pm - 5:15 pm, Thursday 12:00 pm - 5:15 pm, Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm,

  • Warmly greeting and assisting visitors, whether by phone or in person and responding to queries

  • Use varied software to ensure the smooth running of the school day to include Google, ParentPay, iSAMS and SOCS

  • Provide friendly and efficient communication with parents including use of School Post and My School Portal

  • Ensuring accurate record keeping including registration and absence monitoring

  • Support with the planning and operations for educational visits and workshops and much of our Extra Curricular offering to include after school activities

  • General office duties

  • Providing First Aid for students and ensuring appropriate records are kept and maintained

    Qualifications and experience relevant to the role

  • First Aid Qualification desirable

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Cheerful and enthusiastic

  • Flexible and proactive

  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise, working to deadlines

  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

  • Excellent team skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Understanding of Safeguarding requirements within an educational setting

  • Salary - £23,565 FTE (£12,387 Pro-rated)
