Full Job Description

The Council for British Archaeology is looking for a dynamic Audience and Network Officer to undertake research and support the delivery of a range of activities enabling the CBA and wider grassroots archaeology to become better connected and more resilient.

The Audience and Network Officer will have an important role to play in the delivery of the CBA's National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) funded Reconnecting Archaeology project.

Central to this role will be the undertaking of a substantial piece of research on the CBA's current and potential membership (individuals, organisations and subscribers). This work will include undertaking surveys and interviews and analysis of comparative membership organisations. This work will enable the CBA to better understand their audience demographics and preferences and will influence the development of associated pilot projects and the transformation of the CBA's membership offer.

This role will support the Audience and Network Manager to deliver the project evaluation and will include involvement in the development and delivery of pilot projects and activity such as researching the development of a networking platform for CBA members. The pilot projects will enable us to test new ideas, develop our knowledge and skills, engage with new audiences and will ultimately inform the future strategy of the CBA.

Experience of undertaking audience or visitor research or evaluation projects including data capture and analysis.
- Experience of developing and running workshops and conducting 1:1 interviews.
- Experience using online survey platforms to capture and analyse data.
- An understanding of and commitment to good practice, particularly around inclusion and equal opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including approachability and empathy.

26 days paid holiday (pro-rata), 8 days public holidays per year (pro-rata), in addition the CBA office is closed for two weeks over the Christmas period.
