Full Job Description

We are looking for a motivated business development manager to generate sales and opportunities for the following :

  • our innovative range of machinery, logistics and laundry process systems

  • our M&E division, which provides technical services and infrastructure projects to the laundry industry

  • our UK wide laundry support and spare parts division which support our own and other brand products.

  • The division has expended significantly in the last 12 months and we see a big opportunity for the right person to help with continued growth.

Industrial laundry might not sound very exciting, but it is essential to the NHS, the food and pharma industries, and large national and multi-national groups are existing clients of Broadbent. We are selling a high level of automation, AI and robotics; we are selling sustainability solutions and we are selling support to an industry facing shortages in the skills our company can provide.

Key requirements in the role would be :-
  • Focus on customer relations, selling the value of the Broadbent proposition.

  • You will develop a plan for raising the profile of our business within major groups.

  • Being motivated and tenacious enough to prospect leads with existing clients; find new customers and develop new business opportunities.

  • Be articulate and able to develop strategies and arguments to secure revenue and profitability targets.

  • Prepared to travel and manage your time to maximise contact with our customers.

  • You will be comfortable with challenging but realistic targets, preparing and presenting proposals and closing deals.

  • The role will be home-based and you will ideally reside between the M6 the M4 corridor, South East or Home Counties. You will receive a company vehicle so you must have a UK driving license. Experience in the laundry sector is not essential but we are looking for a demonstrable record of business generation and evidence of previous sales experience.

The potential in our product and services will be clear to the right person but we will provide training in house and with our European supply partners to ensure you have the necessary information to approach your customers. You will use the company CRM system alongside MS Office. As the business grows there is potential for career development and the Broadbent group of companies offers potential to move to other business sectors.

Broadbent have an opportunity for the right person to join and influence an expanding part of our business in the UK industrial laundry sector.
