Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated person to join the Business Support Service, supporting the Emergency Planning team as a business support administrator on a job share basis - working days would be Monday-Wednesday. The team work closely with emergency services, voluntary agencies, health organisations and other relevant organisations to plan the most effective response to incidents and are responsible for facilitating business continuity planning and ensuring safety at sports grounds and events.

We require a competent and confident Business Support Administrator.

  • We are looking for a dynamic individual to provide support to the team in carrying out its responsibilities. A large part of the role is to help organise meetings and support events so you will need to be a well organised individual who is able to plan.

  • Have excellent organisational skills and be able to work to deadlines.

  • You will need to have good literacy skills to be able to take clear and accurate minutes at complex meetings and possess good IT skills although training on specialist software will be provided.

  • Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative as well as work as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail with strong time management and organisational skills.

  • You must be flexible and able to prioritise your work to meet deadlines and be able to communicate with people at all levels across organisations.

  • There may be times when working outside of normal office hours is required in response to incidents or emergencies.

  • You will be expected to travel and attend meetings on and off-site as required.

  • The role will involve hybrid working, working at home and County Hall base
