Full Job Description

Overview: To support the Bespoke Purchasing Manager and Generic Purchasing Manager in the smooth running of the Purchasing Department. Working in all aspects of supply chain and procurement.

Responsible To: Purchasing Managers

Key Objectives:

· To deliver cost effective, timely and value-added purchasing to all internal customers and will manage all aspects of procurement within the supply chain in a professional and ethical manner, looking at continuous improvement and cost reductions

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

· Create supply chain/inventory reports and interpret data

· Managing inventory levels and stock management

· Placing of purchase orders with suppliers

· Working with supplier on forecasting, and communicating with all parties

· Management of supplier performance, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met

· Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, quantities and delivery schedules

· Researching new products and manufacturers

· Support the sales team with working on tenders, and presenting to customers where required

· Working with the team to achieve KPIs and targets in a number of areas including supply chain management.

· Understand and influence key financial purchasing issues

· Understanding customs clearance/import procedures

· Support all aspects of a busy purchasing department

· Co-ordinating any special orders and opening ordering requirements

· A working knowledge of Prof.ItPlus

· Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel

· Excellent Organisational skills

· Team Player

· Ability to prioritise a frequently changing workload

· Highly organised and able to work well under pressure

· Good Attention to detail

· Ability to Communicate well
