Full Job Description

Working as a Deputy Manager you will assist the Manager in Ofsted registered, children's home. You will assist with the management of the efficient operation, delivery, and development.,

  • Creatively manage behaviours, guiding less experienced staff.

  • Lead shifts with confidence, ensuring high standards of care for young people.

  • Enable effective supervisions, promoting best practices and providing support for staff teams.

  • Balance a fun workplace with readiness to support overwhelming emotions.

  • Ensure staff compliance with policies, procedures, and Ofsted Quality Standards.

  • Conduct risk assessments and conflict resolution reviews.

  • Consistently review performance against targets and adjust plans accordingly.

  • Create a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment, adhering to Health and Safety and legal requirements.

  • Address conduct and competence issues of staff.

  • Support staff in direct work with Children and Young People to collaborate with local authorities, therapy, and education.

    Minimum 2 Years of experience in Young Adult's or Children's Residential Home

  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.

  • DBS on the Online Service

  • Ability to commit to changing and demanding shift patterns.

  • Level 3 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, leadership in Children's Home: 2 years (required)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

  • Level 3 in Children and young people. (required)
