Full Job Description

1. Lead the team and ensure all the staff follow correct processes and deliver the daily activities as provided for each day.

2. Complete the relevant training required by Koala Klubs to deliver the role in your own time.

3. Ensure all safeguarding processes are followed by you and the team.

4. Ensure you communicate with Koala Klubs management team on a daily/weekly basis

5. Ensure all staff are signing in correctly using rota cloud.

6. Daily tasks to ensure camp runs efficiently, including site tours, equipment checks, stock control, communicating with parents and managing staff team.

7. Delegate tasks to members of your team to ensure the workload is completed

8. Ensure the team are briefed on any communication regarding the camp, specific children's needs, the activities and venue to maintain a smooth running camp.

9. Liaise with parents and guardians at Registration, pick up and any other time that is required during the camp.

10. Keep the baseroom and facilities tidy and make sure equipment is packed away and the venue is left clean and tidy daily.

11. Communicate with the venue staff on facilities, accessibility throughout the camp.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Complete Flick training modules prior to the camp starting.

2. Have experience in childcare settings, holiday camps, and/or leading a team

3. Be eligible to work in the UK

4. Obtain an enhanced DBS check through Koala Klubs or have an existing enhanced DBS

5. Provide satisfactory professional/academic references

6. Attend mandatory Induction Training prior to the camp beginning.

7. Complete a stock check at the end of the camp.

8. Koala Klubs aim for a minimum of 1/2 staff to be Paediatric First Aid trained, this is variable dependent on the size of the camp

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure all operational procedures are followed and delivered on camp

2. Be proactive and diligent when approaching safety issues

3. Act as the responsible person on camp on behalf of Koala Klubs.

4. Ensure any safeguarding concerns are raised immediately with the Designated Safeguarding Lead of Koala Klubs.

5. Ensure the team are aware of any children who have additional, medical, or dietary needs

6. Bring swimwear daily as may be required to support a swimming session

7. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as required by your changing role within Koala Klubs.

£9.44 - £13.44 an hour - Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Pulled from the full job description

  • Salary: Depending on qualifications and experience we pay between £9.44 -£13.44 per hour which includes a bonus for completing your contract.
