Happy Days UK is looking for a professional, relationship-focused, proactive, and empathetic Complex Lives Support Leader to work in a fast-paced, growing charity who support people who have experienced homelessness and people who are in crisis. The Complex Lives Support Leader will work closely with external partners, staff members, service users, and volunteers to support the mission and goals of Happy Days UK., · Support the Senior Operations Manager and Chief Operating Officer with implementing robust processes across the charity.

· Create a support model for the residents of 2024/5 our Winter Shelter.

· Between 01 October 2024 and 31 March 2025 be the Complex Lives Support Lead for our Winter Shelter residents.

· Conduct initial assessments to identify the unique needs, goals, and strengths of each Winter Shelter resident, paying special attention to their alcohol and substance dependencies with regards to risk management.

· Implement personalised support plans that address residents' substance misuse issues, mental health concerns, and social circumstances, in collaboration with our local partner agencies and substance misuse services.

· Provide one-on-one support sessions, crisis intervention, and emotional support to residents dealing with substance dependency-related challenges, helping them build resilience and motivation for change.

· Take responsibility for the progress of all Winter Shelter Resident Support Plans and ensure these are up to date.

· Provide support guidance to our team of Complex Lives Coordinators.

· Report the progress of each resident support plan to the Winter Shelter Manager on a weekly basis.

· Take a proactive approach to finding move-on options for Winter Shelter Residents.

· Attend weekly meetings with partner agencies to provide an update about all Winter Shelter residents and their move-on options.

· Deputise in the absence of the Winter Shelter Manager.

· Create a support model for the residents of our new, intensively supported service, Jubilee House.

· From 01 April 2025, be the Complex Lives Support Leader for our Jubilee House residents.

· Provide intensive therapeutic support to our Jubilee House residents.

· Conduct initial assessments to identify the unique needs, goals, and strengths of each Jubilee House resident, paying special attention to their alcohol and substance dependencies with regards to risk management.

· Provide intensive support, crisis intervention, and emotional support to residents dealing with substance dependency-related challenges, helping them build resilience and motivation for change.

· Take responsibility for the progress of all Jubilee House Resident Support Plans and ensure these are up to date.

· Deputise in the absence of the Jubilee House Service Manager.

· Proven experience in supporting clients who lead complex lives and suffer multiple disadvantage.

· The ability to work in a trauma informed way.

· Proven experience of working with service users who are experiencing drug/alcohol addiction.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage crisis situations, make sound decisions, and implement appropriate interventions.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up to date with current research and best practices in dependency issues and homeless support.

    · As travel will be a necessary part of this role, it is essential you will have your own vehicle, hold a full, clean driving licence, and be insured for work purposes.

    You will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check; please note that a conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

    You will be required to undertake Safeguarding Level 3 training within one week of commencing the role.
