Full Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Psychologist for a fixed term post or secondment to cover parental leave as the Lead the Crisis Pathway for Psychological input in City and Hackney's Services across Homerton University Hospital and ELFT's crisis services and Homerton Psychological Medicine Department. At the heart of the Transformation of Community Services, this is a chance to weave Psychological thinking throughout the pathway for those in crisis in our borough. It also covers supervision of psychological staff in the Home Treatment Team.
The postholder would be linked with physical health staff as well as other ELFT liaison teams in the Trust supervising staff and offering a formulation based approach to service users and staff.
Hackney and the other boroughs has a thriving Psychological Services Department across all areas of community and mental health offering support and CPD opportunities across East London., This role oversees and carries out work with service users and carers in crisis and is a key member of the leadership team in the crisis pathway. It is a complex but rewarding role working with significant levels of distress across family and care systems.

Our Community
We provide a wide range of community health and mental health inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, and older adults in The City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. We also provide psychological therapy services to the London Borough of Richmond, and provide Forensic services to the whole of North East London. We provide services in urban and rural settings, sometimes in our inpatient units, but mostly in the community close to where people live. Integrated care is key in making the best use of resources and providing effective care.
