Due to continued expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen with our exclusive interiors business. Specialising in home textiles and decoration and aimed at the luxury end of the market. The brand was established in the 19th century and is famous for its iconic fabric and wallpapers, now re-launching to the trade and online to meet contemporary shopping expectations.

New expansion into both the American market and bricks and mortar UK trade partners, will ensure a varied and interesting workload.

We are looking for an office based experienced customer service executive, to join our small and friendly team in characterful surroundings.

You should be warm, friendly and focussed on providing efficient service throughout the customer journey. You will need an excellent telephone manner and effective keyboard skills, and work in a confident and organised fashion and have a genuine wish to help create satisfied customers.

Ideally, you will have worked in home interiors, fabrics and wallcoverings. Product knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential. This new position will focus on trade sales but will also include some consumer customer service duties.

In return, you will be well trained and supported and will share in the financial success of the business going forward.

Brief overview of responsibilities:

o Handling incoming trade and occasionally consumer phone and email correspondence.

o Supporting the regional UK trade sales managers, international partners and their customers.

o Processing customer orders and supporting customer requirements through the order process.

o Troubleshoot any customer issues regarding orders, updating the customer at each stage of the process.

o Ownership of any escalated issues regarding delivery or collection, following up with the customer and logistic partners to ensure a fast resolution.

o Maintain a full understanding of the brand and products to ensure high quality assistance for pre-sale enquiries.

o Representing the brand, you'll always provide an engaging, positive, vibrant and amazing customer experience.

o Keep customers informed of delivery updates, delays or stock issues.

o Provide excellent aftercare - sales service by processing return requests in a timely and effective manner.

o Work closely with the production team and follow up on outstanding order and shipping updates.

o Follow customer order lead-times with suppliers and ensure on time despatches.

o A confident and professional telephone manner

o Evident customer service experience with a customer first attitude

o Self-motivated with a positive attitude

o Flexible in work content and working hours

o An interest in home furnishings and decoration

o Good organisational skills and able to work under pressure

o Proficient in microsoft office, with reasonable keyboard speed and familiar with a Mac and Apple device

o Fully literate and numerate with a high level of accuracy,

  • A-Level or equivalent (preferred), customer service: 1 year (preferred)
