District Nurse Team Leader - Banbury

Our team leaders are passionate about community nursing and relish the opportunity to use their skills, experience, and knowledge to provide nursing care in people's own homes. They are enthusiastic and take pride in leading their team to deliver proactive, caring, safe and excellent standards of patient care to their local communities. Our team leaders work autonomously, deliver high quality and evidence-based nursing care, see problem-solving as a positive challenge, and are creative in many varied and unpredictable clinical situations. There are continuous developments within the community that will open your eyes to a whole new and exciting world of nursing., In return we will support your career progression through a District Nursing career progression framework, including advanced clinical practice and leadership training in this area. You will also receive regular 1:1 support and development and annual appraisal, regular group clinical supervision with your peers, and a comprehensive internal training programme around clinical competencies.

Working patterns:
The service currently operates 7 days a week between the core hours of 0800-1830. Shift patterns available are 0800-1600, 1030-1630 or 0800-1830.
+ All new starters have a 6 month probationary period. This, together with the induction process, aims to create a positive supportive working environment allowing new employees to learn key elements of their role over a reasonable timescale
+ Candidates not currently employed by the Trust who attend an interview for non-qualified Band 1-5 posts are required to undertake numeracy and literacy assessments.
+ Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study. Please ask your referees to respond promptly to reference requests.
+ Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.
