Full Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and passionate Dog Day Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for dogs and possess excellent customer service skills. This position requires lone working.

This is initially for 6 months but there is scope to be made permanent.

Hours

Thursday: 07:30 - 17:30

Friday: 12:30 - 17:30

It is essential that you are comfortable dealing with a large group of excited and playful dogs. You must be able to think fast and remain calm in any situation to ensure the safety of all dogs at all times.

You should also be happy working in any weather as no matter how hard it rains, our dogs have still got to be exercised and walked.

As a small company, we rely heavily on our team and reliability is absolutely essential. We are looking to recruit someone who is looking to work with us for a significant amount of time. We need you to turn up on time without fail- if you aren't 100% sure you can commit to this please don't apply.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with dogs, providing essential care and support. Duties

  • Provide daily care and attention to dogs

  • Assist with feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs

  • Clean and maintain animal living spaces

  • Monitor dog behaviour and report any concerns to the supervisor

  • Interact with dog owners and provide excellent customer service

    Previous experience in, dog care, veterinary care or animal handling is required

  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor

  • Ability to work well in a lone environment.

  • Positive, energetic and a great team player

  • Competent at using social media for business purposes

  • A people person that is confident around people as well as dogs

  • Use your initiative and think on your feet.

  • Driving license would be beneficial

    Up to £11.44 an hour - Part-time, Fixed term contract, Pulled from the full job description
