Are you looking for a fantastic early years opportunity? Maybe you are wanting to switch careers and work with children? Ramilies Hall Nursery is looking for a Level 3 apprentice to provide all aspects of care for children, supported by an award winning provider. Free lunch and attendance bonus.
Ramillies is a family-run day nursery, providing excellent childcare and Early Education in a warm and loving environment.
They are looking for a friendly, caring individual to join their established team as an early years apprentice.
As an apprentice you will be expected to;

  • To respect and maintain confidentiality about any information received.

  • To Support the qualified nursery staff with daily routines in the nursery.

  • Report accidents and complete an accident/incident form if necessary

  • To be professional and a good role model to the children

  • To read and adhere to all policies and procedures of Ramillies Hall Nursery and Holiday Club

  • To assist in meeting the needs of individual children from differing cultures, religious backgrounds and stages of development.

  • To respect and value all colleagues, children and parents, encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.

  • To share in the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children in the Nursery - in accordance with the child protection and whistle blowing policies.

  • To follow the EYFS when caring for children.

  • Under supervision, provide all aspects of care for children including washing, changing and feeding.

  • To gain a good understanding if child development and how this is important when caring for children.

  • To contribute/ complete children's observations and records when required.

  • To communicate effectively, sharing information, participating in meetings, inductions and supervisions.

  • Be willing to attend reasonable out of work activities, including staff meetings, training and development courses.

  • To uphold the Nursery high standards at all times.

  • To work as part of a team.

  • To use own initiative.

  • To work in partnership with your assessor, completing and submitting work at agreed times

  • To be a reliable member of the team

    Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including professional, practitioner level, and to engage with children, parents and families.

  • Friendly and caring individual

    Ability, flexibility and willingness to take on responsibilities or duties deemed as necessary by the senior management team.

    Entry Requirements and Qualifications

    Good level of English and Maths - desirable
    Option for skills Bootcamp course to start accelerated apprenticeship at level 3 for the right candidate.
    Passionate about learning and developing into a new role - Essential

    28 days per annum which includes bank holidays. This then increases a day per year of service up to 5 years.

    Training Provided

    Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Ramilies Hall Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
    You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
  • Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours

  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator

  • Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)


  • This will be delivered through Ramilies Hall Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
