Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4-week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

Day-to-day, your focus will be on delivering designs, drawings, information, calculations and enhancements that keep vital, innovative and big-budget projects moving. You will join our RIBA and RICS award-winning in-house team, working projects of varying scale and complexity across all TfL modes. You will ideally be either a Chartered Architect, Chartered Building Surveyor or Chartered Building Engineer (or equivalent) and have working experience across design, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings and built environment assets. Experience of transport infrastructure design is ideal but not essential.

You will have either have:

Experience and knowledge of how to prepare high quality architectural and built environment solutions and designs, together with a good understanding of the relevant legislation, technical standards and good practice,

OR

Experience and understanding in assessing building condition and building defect analysis together with a good understanding of the relevant legislation, technical standards and good practice.

You will have experience of the assurance of designs, coordination of designs, and specification writing (NBS) as well as building detailing and on-site supervision and assurance of works.

It will be essential to build effective working relationships and influence at all levels across the organisation and externally and have the technical confidence to challenge the status-quo to deliver innovative and sustainable built environment solutions.
