Full Job Description

In this role, you'll be the right-hand person to the Events Manager, executing a national events programme. Collaborating closely with the Marketing Executive you'll drive growth, enhance customer service, and improve efficiency.

Your main responsibilities in the office will involve leading event operations as part of a small team of four, working alongside the Marketing Executive and supported by an assistant. You will take charge of the event inventory, identify and liaise with suppliers and support in the design and delivery of the overall events programme. Managing customer service will be a key aspect of this role. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of delivering excellent customer experience while considering the commercial implications of their decisions. You will be expected to research and implement technological solutions to enhance customer service and drive efficiency. Ambition to grow the role and contribute to the success of the national events program is essential.During events you will ensure maximum customer satisfaction by coordinating with various contractor teams including head judges, play leads, customer service, and retail. You'll also act as a liaison between event staff
and venues, manage set-up and tear down teams, support vendors, and provide ad hoc assistance to the whole events team.

  • Demonstrable experience in project delivery.

  • Previous involvement in organising events with 150 or more attendees.

  • Understanding of either TCG events or event management.

  • Ability to effectively multitask and prioritise multiple projects.

  • Proficiency in using office systems such as Microsoft 365.

  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, customers, and management.

  • Possess commercial awareness.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Passionate about promoting our brand and TCG games.

  • Possess a can-do attitude and openness to new ideas, with a willingness to learn and improve.

  • Physically capable of hands-on work across large venues, including directing staff and supporting customers.

  • Desirable:
  • Experience in conventions or TCG events.

  • Experience in logistics, and storage/warehouse management.

  • Basic knowledge of the WIX web platform.

  • Experience of contract management.

  • Experience in supply chain logistics., Working Hours: 166 hours per month (Equivalent to 40 hours a week) - Highly flexible to accommodate the national events program (to be agreed upon appointment).


  • Unsocial Hours: Due to the nature of the leisure industry, evening and weekend work may be required, particularly during event periods.

    Work Location: Axion Now office in Amersham, with some remote work flexibility and regular travel for events across the UK.

    Remote Work: Ability to work away from the office when events require, including overnight stays.

    Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per year

    Must Have: Valid driving license
