Full Job Description

Due to internal promotion, we now seek self-motivated, customer focused, individuals to join our Fibre Installations Team. Your talent and skills will play an essential role in our mission to provide the South West with unprecedented ultrafast broadband speeds.

Being the face of Truespeed your role is crucial in our mission to give our customers the very best experience and installation of our full fibre broadband.

Youll be responsible for:

  • Installation of optical fibre cable into distribution points / fibre enclosures and patch panels on new and existing networks

  • Splicing and testing of external / internal optical fibres to the customer premise to a high standard using Fusion Splicer / OTDR /ILM

  • Fault finding on new and existing network

  • Reporting completion of works and changes to as builts

  • Carry out emergency repair work as part of a rota-based 24hr call out team

  • Working as an individual and as a part of team to achieve targets and KPIs

  • Adherence with Health and Safety legislation

  • Any other reasonable duties that may be required, from time to time, to ensure we deliver a great installation experience for our customers

    Full valid driving licence (held for at least 12 months)

  • Valid NRSWA street works Operative card

  • Experience working with schematics, duct diagrams and as builts

  • Ability to interpret schematics and update changes accordingly

  • Extensive experience of fusion splicing / OTDR testing on a Fibre network

  • Confident working at heights and in the underground network.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong focus on Health and Safety practices


  • Desirable:
  • BT PIA and WPD OH35 accreditations an advantage but not essential
