Full Job Description

Our client are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Boston. The successful applicant will ideally be part qualified and have a passion for working in an environment that embraces ideas for improvement and supports controlled processes and systems.

Reporting to the Head of Reporting and Controlling, they are looking for someone who can flexibly adapt to requests, takes pride in their work and has experience working with a variety of finance functions.

  • Purchase requisition and order processing.

  • Accounts Payable maintaining vendor master data, query review and partnering internally and externally to reach resolution.

  • Assist in a variety of accounting tasks as requested.

  • Assist in the preparation of the monthly accounts.

  • Assist in the audit processes.

  • Present a positive and helpful internal and external customer service.

  • Liaison with other group central function and services

  • Managing day to day Basware Purchase to Pay System

  • Managing The Accounts Payable Inbox

  • Assisting SSC with Invoice queries

  • Month End P2P accrual.

  • Debit Balances

  • Statements reconciliations

  • Accounts Payable KPIs

  • Supplier Queries

  • Posting Stock Inbound Condition Invoices

  • Manual Payment requests

  • Managing Fiori Purchase Requisitions system & creating Admin purchase requisitions when required

  • Internal business partnering to help ensure smooth invoice handling process.

  • Problem Solving

  • Ad hoc task as required.

    5 GCSEs grade A-C (including maths and English)

  • Part qualified accountant preferred (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIPFA, AAT L3/4)

  • Strong IT skills, including programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook & particularly Excel.

  • Good accuracy and customer service skills

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills

  • Previous experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
