Fish and Chip Shop Counter Assistant

Serving customers during busy service periods.

• Cash handling. Advising customers on our products. Preparing fish, chips and other food ready for busy service periods. Keeping area's clean and tidy.
  
  We are looking to hire 2 part-time staff (20 hours) with an immediate start.


We are looking for enthusiastic candidates providing excellent service with a smile to our customers. Confidence and a friendly, helpful approach is key in this role, you will be wanting to make sure all customer leave feeling valued.

The successful candidate will be people-centred and flexible with regard to working hours and able to work weekends and Bank Holidays as part of normal shift pattern as required.

Duties include: Preparing fish and chips as well as other food products, you will ideally have experience of working within a catering environment however, this isn'tessential as training can be provided. Other duties include ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic. Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately. Duties will also include using an EPOS till and shop floor cleaning.

Key skills for any applicant:

• Must be approachable and be able to build a rapport with customers.


• Demonstrate a positive and can-do attitude during their work time., 1 years' experience in a food retail role


• Customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and confidently


• Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively


• Ability to serve customers in a friendly, polite and approachable manner


• Ability to demonstrate a flexible attitude to work, and working hours


• Experience of working in a team


• Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Compliant
