GCSE English Teacher (SEND)

We are seeking a Special Education English Teacher who as part of the school's middle leadership will take the lead to plan, co-ordinate and quality assure in their given area. This is to ensure that the subject is consistently well planned throughout the school and quality assured on a regular basis. In this role you will be ensuring the pupils engage in learning and achieve by providing practical, experiential and therapeutic education through careful planning of the structure, methodology and delivery of the learning experience.

• Be a qualified Teacher


• Be able to teach English up to and including GCSE level


• As subject Leader experience of co-ordinating, leading and quality assuring your subject area of English


• Experience of the National Curriculum framework


• Have experience of working with young people with differing needs and destination aims, and developing appropriate strategies to help them achieve their goals


• Excellent communication and organisational skills with practical approach to engaging pupils


• Have experience of working with children/young people with special educational needs and learning disabilities who may be on the autistic spectrum


• Have experience working across multiple keystages


• Have experience preparing students for examinations and assessments
