Full Job Description

We are looking for a brilliant General Manager to join our body building factory in the Manchester area.

Your day-to-day duties include:

  • Manage refrigerated vehicle manufacturing plant

  • Prioritise and manage build schedule

  • Liaise with production director and production manager

  • Manage employee relations and lead the team in an inspirational way

  • Complete job cards/work order

  • Liaise with vehicle manufacturers, dealers and customers

  • Reporting to high level management

  • Compile parts orders

  • Order parts/work with suppliers and contractors

  • Liaise with accounts re invoicing builds/parts

  • Team member onboarding and induction

  • Organise plant and machinery maintenance

  • Oversee factory maintenance

    You have body builder experience and have previously managed a similar production

  • You have an excellent understanding of the manufacturing process


  • Basic knowledge of vehicle type approval would be an advantage

You will be joining a new commercial vehicle bodybuilding company, producing fabricated and welded commercial vehicle bodies. Our specialty will be dropsides, flatbed and crane bodies, ranging from 3.5t to 32t. Our company is equipped with its own NC steel processing equipment and will produce products already established in the UK whilst constantly innovating new products ready to add to the portfolio as the company grows. Whilst our company is an exciting, new entrant to the UK bodybuilding industry, it has the resilience and high standing of our parent company, Rygor Group, supporting the business.
