Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Wellbeing Facilitator to join our team. The post holder will be responsible for the training and delivery of a range of health and wellbeing intervention within our Wellbeing Strategic Plan that will improve the health of NHS colleagues., The role of Wellbeing Facilitator has been developed specifically to provide support to our colleagues to improve their physical wellbeing and their mental resilience. The post holder will act as a wellbeing
champion and an ambassador of wellbeing across our entire workforce.
The Wellbeing Facilitator will work as part of a team to support people to improve their health by coaching and training individuals and groups to lead a healthy lifestyle. The post holder will use behaviour change
techniques with individuals and groups across the workforce to empower them to identify, make and sustain positive lifestyle changes to improve health and wellbeing, Work alongside Merseycare colleagues to assess lifestyle risk factors and support them to develop relevant wellbeing improvement initiatives.
2. To support the delivery of a range of training intervention as a key component part of the Mersey Care HW@W agenda.
3. To work along side the Occupational Health Team to identify and support new ways of improving workforce health.
4. Deliver healthy lifestyle interventions to Mersey Care colleagues and those contracted to receive a service.
5. Deliver multi component interventions to colleagues incorporating goal setting, physical activity, healthy eating, physical and mental health sessions.
6. Monitor attendance and achievements of colleagues on courses or activities recording and documenting as appropriate.
7. Organise and facilitate groups and/or individuals to develop self-care skills.
8. Whilst working with colleagues, identify barriers and possible solutions to making sustainable lifestyle changes.
9. Support the development of new interventions within the Occupational health and wellbeing services.
10. Support the development of new lifestyle initiatives which will offer peer support to clients trying to maintain lifestyle changes.
11. To assist the Occupational health and wellbeing services to continually review the development and improvement of the range of services provided.
12. To contribute to evaluation/research initiatives designed to generate data regarding the effectiveness of the service.
13. Participate in wellbeing events across divisions and meetings as required.
14. Support promotional activities and events for the service.
15. Be responsible for co-ordination of a named designated project.
16. Produce progress or activity reports as required in relation to service.
17. To support Occupational health and wellbeing and its interests, and other public health teams as required at local and regional events.
18. Alert line manager to any issues in work regarding specific areas of concern which may require specialist support including concerns about individuals or work in the community.
19. Liaising with other team members in the production of reports, newsletters, and contact with the media.
20. Undertake any other duties that may be required, and which are applicable to the grade of the post.
21. To plan and organise time effectively to meet the needs of the individuals and the service.
22. To understand and apply Health & Safety requirements in line with Mersey Care Policy & Procedures.
23. To help to build up strong links between the service and all organisations and other interestedpartners.
24. Required to operate as part of a team, sharing information and knowledge and learning.
25. To be responsible in developing and contributing to team support networks and join in team learning activities.
26. Facilitate and support individuals to develop their knowledge and skills about health and well-being.
27. Build and maintain knowledge of key contacts within the organisation.
28. Promote the equality and value the diversity issues and link to the relevant partners.
29. Keep accurate and confidential client records

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our multidisciplinary Team within the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

We have secured a new operational service based at Winwick, Warrington and satellite units in the Netherton / Knowsley areas of Liverpool to support delivery of the service across the Trust footprint. We will also support opportunities for remote working in line with operational demands., Mersey Care is one of the largest trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West, serving more than 1.4 million people across our region and are also commissioned for services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.
