Full Job Description

  • Comply with the Highway Code

  • Deliveries and collections.

  • Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Communication with management to update any issues.

  • Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe and road worthy condition by completing and recording daily walk round checks and informing any defects to management.

  • Safely load and unload vehicles.

  • Download tacho on a weekly basis.

  • Wear correct PPE during duty.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in training.

    Deliveries will be undertaken using our 18 Tonne rigid curtain side truck or a 7.5 Tonne rigid curtain side truck, in the main, to our customer who is based on the South Coast. Daily deliveries mainly 1- 2 drops. You will be able to drive a counterbalance fork lift truck to load and unload vehicles and preferably have been trained by an industry approved centre and have a valid certificate of competence., Class 2 licence.


  • - Up to date CPC.

    - Valid Digi-tachograph card.

    - Forklift Certification

    Sovrin Plastics is an ISO 13485 certified, contract manufacturer that has been supplying Precision Injection Mouldings, Assemblies and Medical Devices to the Pharmaceutical, Drug Delivery and Healthcare industries for many years.

    We are looking to expand our Logistics Team with the addition of an experienced HGV class 2 (CAT C) driver to join our team in Slough, Berks.

    £17.09 an hour - Permanent, Full-time, This is a full-time permanent position with a start time of 8:00 am and finish time of 16:30. The appointment is an hourly paid position with overtime payments being made at 1.5 times the hourly rate for extra hours worked over the basic 32-hour week. Overtime is available to cover periods of high demand.

    You will be required to work on a continuous rotating shift basis, 4 X 8-hour days on, then 4 days off, to include all weekends and bank holidays. The holiday entitlement is 24 days per annum, accrued on a pro rata basis, over a full calendar year from January to December. Apart from the works shutdown which is linked to Christmas and the New Year, for which you must reserve 4 to 5 days of your annual leave.
