Full Job Description

  • Learn to record and respond to incoming incidents and service requests within the times specified in the various SLAs negotiated with the council's user communities.

  • Learn to provide IT technical support for the Council, following corporate procedures and standards.

  • Learn to contribute to the work of the team in the delivery of projects and support as required by the Support Manager or Supervisory Officer.

  • Learn to assist the Desktop Team in configuring laptops, tablets and mobile devices and handing these out to member of staff.

  • Learn to liaise with all IT Teams, Senior Management, Elected Members, Staff and Third Parties to ensure the smooth running of hardware and software.

  • Learn to complete personal and service administration.

  • Learn to achieve and report on Key Performance Indicators.

  • Learn to assist in ensuring that all asset records are accurately recorded.

    Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or equivalent) Essential

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent) Essential
