Full Job Description
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Head Office in Newport for an IT Support Technician.As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation's technology infrastructure.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving abilities and:
- The ability to write and optimise Microsoft SQL scripts for database management and data retrieval. This includes creating queries to extract the necessary data for our business intelligence reporting.
- Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Experience with user provisioning, licence management, and security configurations within the Microsoft 365 environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- The ability to troubleshoot office-related issues and provide user guidance.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Troubleshooting network connectivity issues and assisting users with network-related problems.
- The ability to provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- A college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or related ICT courses.
