Full Job Description

Supporting the Senior IT Technician in overseeing the external IT team. Performing daily IT administrative tasks, offering technical assistance to employees, and instructing staff on the latest IT systems. Aiding in the maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure to adhere to highest of industry standards, actively contributing to future enhancements, and recommending innovative IT solutions to enhance business operations.,

  • Assisting with technical cover for telephony system (Serenova)

  • Managing & improving IT ticketing system (Jira)

  • Asset management and tracking, including replacements

  • Managing the NHS.net email aliases, including setup & removal of users

  • Helping ensure technical compliance throughout the business in line with ISO 27001 whilst following ITIL principles

  • Helping manage & maintain O365

  • Setting up user accounts, permissions, and passwords (including gatekeeping groups, email accounts etc.)

  • Helping manage the company's cloud and data storage (SharePoint & OneDrive)

  • Creating and maintaining SharePoint sites, keeping up to date with latest features and implementing those that benefit the company

  • Working with external IT team to ensure IT assets are being monitored, ensuring pro-active continuous improvements are being carried out

  • Managing all hardware and software, including licensing across multiple platforms

  • Installing new software and hardware such as computer workstations, printers, etc.

  • Helping to plan future improvements and suggesting IT solutions to business problems

  • Conducting remote troubleshooting

  • Recording and resolving technical issues

  • Directing unresolved issues to the next level of support, i.e., Microsoft & other suppliers

  • Creating support tickets for internal users with external IT team whilst chasing updates, when needed

    of all Microsoft applications, especially O365 and SharePoint

  • device management and training (acquiring new devices, set-up and support)

  • Good level of proven experience within IT role

  • Ability to manage and create effective relationships with third party suppliers

  • Ability to create technical documentation and manuals.


  • Desirable
  • understanding of network devices and systems management (incl. Cisco umbrella, Webroot & Mimecast)

  • using MS Autopilot, Intune, Purview & Defender

  • building complex Atlassian projects

  • Healthcare IT environment experience

  • Experience in IT security testing

  • development (Wix & WordPress)

  • good understanding of ISO 27001, DPA and GDPR
