Lead Data Engineer

What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Data and Analytics Practice Manager you will lead a team of Data Engineers; designing, building, and maintaining the Data Lakehouse at Novuna to enable the business to make more happen with data.

Some of your key duties will include:

• Providing outstanding data solutions for our projects


• Supporting the business to glean meaningful insights and inform decision making


• Designing and implementing cutting edge Data Lakehouse solutions


• Building and maintaining Data pipelines


What are we looking for?

You'll demonstrate a real passion for data culture in the business world and embody a strong combination of analytical and technical skills to ensure that Novuna is realising value from its data. You're a creative problem solver who likes to challenge norms and bring new ideas to the table! You'll be experienced at managing teams and mentoring colleagues.


• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL


• Knowledge of relational databases, data lake and data lakehouse architectures


• Ability to think on your feet and problem solve


• Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks
