Faculty

Visualising Heritage (https://visualisingheritage.org/) have developed wide-ranging capabilities in digital documentation, processing, analysis and visualisation of rich 3D data. We use a diverse range of complementary capture methods and presentation formats to aid heritage conservation and to support analysis, interpretation and understanding. Our high-definition prospection and survey capabilities for archaeology and heritage have recently been enhanced through £6.2m investment from AHRC.

What you will be doing:

You will support successful completion of research and knowledge exchange projects within the school in accordance with project deadlines, applying specialist knowledge in capture methods to projects that aim to demonstrate, document and evaluate rapid techniques to create digital twin models. You will play a key part in delivering a professional imaging and visualisation project office, ensuring an excellent working environment, support access and training to imaging and capture infrastructure, and commitment to health and safety.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to support capture and imaging of the historic environment (buildings, landscapes, monuments) using various methods such as photogrammetry and laser scanning. The ideal candidate will understand capturing, processing and presentation of geospatial data within GIS and 3D software whilst maintaining location information. The candidate will have a demonstrable commitment to support project delivery.

25 days holiday and 13 statutory and customary days (taken at Easter and Christmas).
