Looking Forward Activities provide life enhancing support for people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism. We are passionate about the activities and support we provide to our Members, this isn't just a job to us and no day is ever the same!

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our forward-thinking, creative and innovative team as a Learning Disability Coach.

We strive to develop independent, confident, and resilient Members who are well-prepared to engage with the wider community.

The purpose of this role is to coach and develop Members to attain their ambitions and expectations. It will involve collaboration with other key staff/managers, ensuring Member engagement with all learning activities and championing the Member voice. The role will involve creating links with local businesses to develop and promote Employment/Volunteer Opportunities for our Members. Ideally you will have experience in a similar position.

Alongside this role you will be required to accompany Members to evening /day time social activities and support delivery of life and social skills sessions.

You will need to be flexible in your working hours as you will be required to work a minimum of one evening per week.

Transporting our Members is a large part of the job, you must be comfortable driving across Cheshire. As part of this position you will need a full UK clean driving licence, and will need to insure your own vehicle for business use. Our day time activities are currently based in Tarvin with additional activities moving to Northwich around August.

Our work involves dealing with people from diverse backgrounds, with the behavioural, cultural and religious differences that entails. Our Staff treat Members with respect at all times, regardless of their lifestyle and beliefs, and ensure that they receive the dignity they deserve.

  • Successful applicants will be required to provide references (including most recent employment) and complete a DBS check.

    The initial interview will be online, a second in-person (working) interview will be required if you are successful. You will also be required to complete a 3rd interview face to face.
