Full Job Description

Our client , based in Beaconsfield and in the construction sector, is looking for a new Management Accountant to join their team. This is an established business that has been building new homes for the last thirty years in the home counties and throughout the South east.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director this is a process driven role, being responsible for tasks such as preparing financial statements, budget reports, updating profit and cashflow forecasts, preliminary and site cost analysis reports, monthly management accounts and reporting as well as making recommendations for spending or cost cuts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting. Attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success in this role. Additionally, it would be advantageous for the successful candidate to have some understanding of the construction industry.
Assignment Details

General Responsibilities:

  • Group Profit and Cashflow Forecasts

  • Management Accounts and Reporting

  • Statutory Accounts

  • Liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation and providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support.

  • Bank Funding proposals

  • On going monthly monitoring of site funding and inspections with bank appointed monitoring surveyors; regular site visits to prepare bank valuation drawdowns for existing sites.

  • Budgets

  • Assisting the FD in overseeing IT and HR functions.

    Qualiifed Accountant ( ACA,ACCA CIMA,AAT is preferred)

  • 2+ years in a professional accounting or auditing role and experience in a management accounting position.

  • Well organised and flexible, being able to adapt to and willing to take on additional or alternative tasks as required.

  • Experience of overseeing a company's financial control and reporting activities.

  • Knowledge of change best practices and experience in working with relevant financial and accounting software packages.

  • Strong analytical skills along with knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance
