Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operator to join our production team at Smartkem Ltd. The Manufacturing Operator will be responsible for operating machinery, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of organic semiconductor technology and contribute to the advancement of flexible electronics.,

  • Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

  • Monitor production processes to ensure product quality, consistency, and efficiency.

  • Follow quality control procedures to identify and address any deviations or defects in the manufacturing process.

  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including batch records and equipment logs.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.

    A levels, NVQ / BTEC qualifications or similar.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or production roles preferred. Cleanroom experience highly desirable.

  • Basic computer skills and the ability to use software and systems. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment with ability to work effectively without supervision.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of organic semiconductor technology or related fields is a plus.
