Mechanical Design Engineer

· Generate general assembly drawings to be sent for client approval.

· Generate full bill of materials and detail drawings as a basis to place orders from.

· Liaise with suppliers - receive quotations and place orders for parts.

· Build tools/prototypes in the workshop when required.

· Design and develop the inspection tools to meet customer demands.

· Maintain CAD files and numbering system - Part Numbering, Revisions…

· Develop new ideas - prototype, test, improve...

· Work alongside the Electronics Engineers to house their circuit boards and systems.

· Generate presentations, animations, exhibition stands, marketing material…

· Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or related discipline.

· Strong organisational skills to keep jobs on time and within budget.

· Experience in designing pressure vessels. (advantageous)

· Strong experience of 3D CAD - preferable Solidworks.

· Create 3D printing files and use in house Prusa 3D printer.

· Create photorealistic renders for marketing material - Keyshot

· Experience using 2D graphic programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and other Adobe products but is not essential.

· Experience in finite element analysis. (FEA) - not essential

· Good communication skills and a good team player is key.
