On-call / Standby Market Operative

We are currently recruiting Market Operatives to be employed by LSD Promotions on an on-call / standby basis., If you are called out to work, then the work you will undertake is very manually intensive and involves the erection and dismantling of market pop-up stalls, setting up lighting across the market area and overall ensuring that the market area is presentable in readiness for our traders to sell their products.

Happy to work unsociable hours, including weekend, early mornings and late nights.

Comfortable undertaking a manual based role including lifting equipment.

Happy to work in an outdoor environment during winter months in any weather condition.

Good customer service skills and able to communicate with our customers.

£12 an hour - Part-time, Temp to perm, Temporary contract, Zero hours contract, Pulled from the full job description

• Health & wellbeing programme, When you are on-call it is possible that you may not get called out to work and in that case where you do not complete actual working hours, you would receive a guaranteed standby payment of £60.00 for being available to be called out if required.


If you are called out, it could be to one of our regular markets or special events across the UK. We primarily operate in the West Midlands, but some of our events can be further afield. If you are called out, you will then receive the £60.00 standby payment for being on-call, plus an hourly rate of £12.00 per hour for every working hour you complete., Job Types: Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
