Senior Care Assistant

· Having on call responsibilities of 2:00am to 8:00am or 8:00pm-2am to support our night staff and be called out if needed.

The main key aspect of the role are as follows:

· To lead the day to day running of the home.

· To build a good working relationship with all staff and residents.

· To be the first point of contact for any outside agencies and next of kin's for our residents.

· To have a good understanding of CQC regulations and be willing to attend training to remain up to date.

· Complete medication rounds for our 22 residents.

· To promote independence and dignity to residents at all times.

Skills, Knowledge and experience

· Have a caring and compassionate manner

· Able to work well under pressure and at a fast pace

· Able to prioritise your work load effectively

· Have knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Ravensworth Lodge is a residential care home based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, run under Quaker auspices as a non-profit making establishment.

· Working hours would be a combination of 7.45-2.15 and 1 .45-8.15 with a fixed 19.5 hour contract including every other weekend.
