Full Job Description
A Senior engineer is required with the Lead Local Flood Authority Drainage team to
- Undertake statutory consultation role as Lead Local Flood Authority for Planning Authority providing technical advice on surface water drainage for major developments.
- Consultee to the Local Planning Authority - Policy and Development Management
- Delivery of Flood Alleviation Capital schemes and drainage improvement works.
- Scheme development, design and procurement of Capital Schemes.
- Advise of Flood Risk and Drainage matters
- Support drainage manger in delivery of local flood risk management strategies.
- Investigate Flooding Incidents
- Land Drainage consent and flood defence consent of work on or near watercourse
- Work with communities to enable them to be more resilient to flood risk
- Delivery roles and responsibilities under Flood and Water Management Act 2010.
