JOB TITLE: Senior Manager - Finance Chief Control Office - Group Finance Risk, We're on an exciting journey and there couldn't be a better time to join us. We're putting in place a fresh operating model for non-financial risk management across the Group, empowering our people to take end-to-end accountability for managing the risks they face. This role presents an opportunity to join the team and help lead the delivery of a range of assurance activities that focus on the management of Financial Reporting risk across the Group. The role will allow you to use your expertise and natural desire for change to evolve our approach to assurance, including shaping our plan to optimise and automate the control environment with a greater emphasis on preventative controls.
You'll have well developed stakeholder skills and the ability to build strong and long-lasting partnerships to drive performance quality and continuous improvements. By building strong relationships with our stakeholders, we're enabling the Group to respond to internal and external change. Adapting to a changing and fast pace environment are key for this role holder.
What you'll do in this role:

  • Manage, develop and motivate colleagues to operate as part of a high performing team to deliver assurance activities

  • Design and develop insightful MI for a range of audiences, creating greater accountability and clear communication of key messages

  • Work alongside Risk partners to drive alignment of risk systems

  • Provide SME expertise and input into the development of the SOX Methodology and standards

  • Drive control testing automation approach and delivery

  • Understand the impact of transformation on current processes and adapt existing approach

  • Deepen team understanding of Financial Reporting risk to support groupwide assessments

  • Develop team IT capability to respond to evolving assurance demands

  • Positively influence and collaborate with business partners to deliver the Finance SOX strategy, driving strategic requirements and building partnerships with senior internal and external stakeholders

    An opportunity has arisen for a curious and inspiring individual to join our newly formed Control Office within Group Finance Risk., Professional qualification in related field (audit, risk management, accounting) or in-depth specialist risk capabilities, professional knowledge and financial competence

  • Passion for leading and developing a high performing team

  • Understanding of the LBG SOX framework & methodology

  • Experience in driving testing automation and the use of related technology

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to work with people at all levels

  • Ability to deliver influential insight, challenge and advice whilst building collaborative relationships across the Group
