Full Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Receivables Accounting Manager. In this role, you'll have several responsibilities including:

  • Monthly Tasks: You'll reconcile, report, and forecast Accounts Receivable and Loan Receivable balances, cash flow, provisions, and write-offs (book value c. £1bn).

  • Supporting the Team: You'll assist the Revenue Accounting team in reporting handset receivable to Treasury and external financing partners. This includes cash flow and risk reporting and forecasting.

  • System Integration: As a key CFO representative, you'll help resolve system integration issues and enhance our systems.

  • Audit Deliverables: You'll provide all internal and external audit deliverables for AR and Loan Receivables., Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciliations: You'll reconcile AR and Loan Receivable balance sheet accounts to sub-ledgers monthly. This includes analyzing and resolving reconciling items and reporting actual vs. budget/forecasted cash flows.

  • Reporting: You'll report actual vs. budget/forecasted balance sheet movements (receivables and provisions), closing balances, and cash flow movements monthly.

  • Support: You'll support the Revenue Accounting team for the handset receivable financing program. This includes credit strategy and customer performance delinquency/default analysis.

  • Liaison Work: You'll work with Credit and Collection teams to maintain up-to-date "Originator Procedures" for external financers and support periodic FCA returns.

  • Forecasting: You'll be responsible for quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting of receivable balances and cash flow movements.

  • Other Tasks: As the CFO owner of receivable system issue resolution and enhancements, you'll work with various systems. You'll also lead receivable deliverables to both internal and external auditors.

    We're looking for someone with:

  • Accounting Experience: You have excellent accounting experience, including balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and accounts receivable.

  • Forecasting and Reporting Experience: You have strong cash-flow and balance sheet forecasting and reporting experience.

  • Decision-Making Skills: You can demonstrate responsibility for decision making.

  • Communication Skills: You can communicate effectively and comfortably to all staff levels, including Executive Levels.

  • Collaboration Skills: You have a proven ability to collaborate with and influence others to deliver requirements.

  • Proactivity: You're proactive in exploring better processes and smarter work practices.
