Full Job Description

  • Implement and manage the social media strategy which will align with business goals and an overarching PR & Social Media strategy, which has already been developed and signed off by the Senior PR & Social Media Manager

  • Provide ongoing strategic support to the Senior PR & Social Media Manager, looking at trends and business insights to ensure the strategy remains as up to date and in line with the overarching business objectives as possible

  • Autonomously managing and delivering KPIs and key business objectives across social media

  • Regularly presenting to exec-level stakeholders within planning, strategy and business update meetings

  • Lead in growing our regional practice social media pages, ensuring that the goal of our 200x top practices having a social media page is complete within 2024 (we are currently halfway through the target completion)

  • Lead on social media activity, supporting and developing the Content Creator to ensure that all content pushed out through any mydentist social media channel remains within brand guidelines

  • Propose new, exciting content ideas that are backed by research/audience insights which could propel the PR and Social Media team into award-winning work

  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI

  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily across the mydentist professional and patient-facing social media channels (e.g. original text, photos, videos, business updates/news, new practice openings, resourcing/recruitment focuses)

  • Oversee, plan, and deliver content across different plans using scheduling tools such as Emplifi and Later

  • Regular site visits to mydentist practices across the UK to support them in their efforts to grow their social media pages including training and filming/gathering usable content

  • Run a robust set of training sessions with dental practices across the UK (both virtually and in person) to encourage them to create their own social media pages, empowering them to create their own content with your ongoing support and guidance, working with the mydentist Academy team to ensure effectiveness

  • Collaborate with other teams such as Resourcing, Directors of Regions, Area Development Managers etc to ensure brand consistency

  • Oversee social media accounts' design on an ongoing basis (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, Glassdoor and blog layout) with the support of the Content Creator

  • Be the go-to liaison with any of our external agencies for all social media needs, requirements, campaigns and queries

  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications to keep mydentist at the forefront of the dental care industry

  • Monitor competitor channels to ensure that mydentist is staying on trend and in line with the market, identifying ways that we can do dentistry differently on social media and making recommendations for improvement on the mydentist social media channels to increase their performance

    Analytical, self-driven and creatively minded

  • 2-3 years working within social media, preferably at a Manager, Account Manager or SAE level

  • Experience of managing multi-site operations

  • Proven experience with all major social platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok YouTube and X/Twitter)

  • The ability to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines

  • Organisational skills, with the capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects

  • Hands-on experience in content management and strategic planning

  • Excellent copywriting skills

  • Experience of working with an external agency, if not for one

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image, and video)

  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

  • Knowledge of online marketing channels preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Agency experience preferred but not essential

  • UK driving license essential
