Full Job Description

Permanent, 37 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, professional Sous Chef to join our catering team. The catering team provide a retail catering service in a number of buildings across campus as well as delivering an extensive hospitality offer.

You will assist with the running of our busy production kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to uphold high standards of catering, hygiene and health and safety. You will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared and presented to the required standards and will be actively involved in menu development, planning and costing.

You will have proven culinary experience in a fast-paced professional kitchen and will have previously supervised a kitchen team. With a Food Safety Level 3 (or above) qualification (or equivalent) you will have experience of implementing and adhering to a HACCP system. You will have significant experience of menu design and costing. You will have proven experience of supervising, motivating and mentoring a team.
