Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant

The candidate will work with the pupil on a 1-1 basis in their home/community, providing academic support, alongside the work of other professionals. They will be required to deliver Speech and Language/Occupational Therapy programmes and support for social, emotional and mental health needs.
Working hours (25hrs a week) following Derbyshire term dates. However, the child may not be able to access the full 25 hours, so the candidate would work in the school as a Teaching and Learning Assistant for any remaining time each day.
The candidate would be part of a multi-disciplinary team.

We are seeking to appoint a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant, capable of working in a flexible way, to support a young person who is currently educated otherwise than in school.
