Full Job Description

  • Maintaining records and adequate stock levels for the main stores, tools/assets, company vehicles, PPE kit

  • Support stock parts procurement and rotation

  • Company property management

  • Company waste management

  • Assist engineers with purchasing parts on breakdown jobs.


  • Daily Actions:
  • Taking deliveries & notifying the relevant departments

  • Allocating parts to engineers

  • Stock transference between stores & engineers' vehicles

  • Plus, any other general tasks or duties


  • Weekly Actions:
  • Stock/Warranty returns

  • Responsible for the portable air conditioning stores; ensuring all units are PAT tested every 2 years, to ensure units are delivered and returned in good working condition. Adhering to the Portable Air Conditioning Hire Procedure.

  • Main stores organisation, tidiness and obstruction.

  • Logging refrigerant as per the Refrigerant Log Procedure and ensuring all waste & hazardous waste transfer notes are filed for a minimum of 3 years. Tracking waste oil and other hazardous waste.

  • Following the Company waste Policy (Document Database), and organising weekly waste collection

  • Issuing Health & Safety equipment and clothing to engineers/Staff and update Clik CRM

  • Electrical meter readings - logged on a weekly basis, and updated on electronic monitoring

  • Jointly responsible for company waste disposal/transfer

  • Organising & booking vehicle MOTs & servicing - Obtaining managers approval for repairs.

  • Logging vehicle repairs

  • Logging new vehicle details on prodometer

  • Ensuring spare vehicles are kept stocked and maintained.


  • Monthly Actions:
  • Support Stock procurement

  • Asset registering & logging all new tools issued to engineers and/or Tool Stores

  • Calibration of equipment and logging

  • Solar meter reading - logged on a monthly basis, and updated on electronic monitoring spreadsheet

  • Ensuring refrigerant bottles are returned to supplies before their expiry date.

  • Updating new equipment folder for warranties.


  • Annual/Bi-Annual Actions:
  • Annual stocktake (March) All stores & vehicles

  • Ensure that on a bi- annual basis the spillage kits situated in the downstairs stores, upstairs stores and engineers vans are checked and in place
