Full Job Description

Odqa is now at a very exciting stage of growth and we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and eager to learn technician. You will be part of our friendly and supportive, highly creative and open-minded team who are results-driven and keen to share their wealth of experience.

You will work closely with the Chief Technician and our engineering team and it is expected that you will have some experience with a range of workshop equipment with the ability to interpret technical and manufacturing drawings and specifications at a basic level.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture, assembly and maintenance of experimental equipment.

  • Basic workshop machining - with the potential to train and progress.

  • Basic electrical and electronic tasks under the supervision of a senior technician.

  • Collection and delivery of equipment between work sites, and the collection of orders and materials from suppliers as required.

  • Infrastructure maintenance and general housekeeping.

  • Lifting and manual handling operations.

  • Assisting with the assembly and running of test campaigns, both within the UK and Aboard.

    A full UK driving licence, as travel will be a requirement of this position.

  • A-Level or BTEC within an engineering discipline.

  • Ability to travel both within and outside the UK to support assembly and running of test campaigns.

  • A desire to learn, with a 'can-do' attitude.

  • To be both reliable and flexible.

  • Comfortable using own initiative with the ability to follow instructions with attention to detail, whilst not being afraid to ask for support.

  • A team player.

  • Be comfortable working at heights.
