Trainee / Experienced Dog Groomer

Absolute dogs is a very fun and busy salon in Peterborough. We have a wide selection of pooches looking for pet standard grooms as well as breed standard. I'm looking for a keen individual either looking to develop their career or an experienced groomer who can hit the ground running. I'm open to either full or part-time hours candidates, with a minimum requirement of 18 hours Monday to Friday.

• Perform grooming services including bathing, drying, clipping, scissoring, and styling pets according to clients' preferences and breed standards.


• Safely handle pets during the grooming process, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.


• Assess and communicate with pet owners to understand their grooming requirements and provide appropriate recommendations when necessary.


• Maintain a clean and organised grooming area, including proper sanitation of equipment and tools.


• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all pets under your care, including monitoring for any signs of illness or distress.


• Regularly update and maintain accurate records of grooming services provided to each pet, including any special requests or concerns noted during the grooming process.


• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.


• Stay updated with current grooming trends, techniques, and industry standards by attending workshops, seminars, and educational programs.
  
  Demonstrated expertise in grooming various dog breeds with different coat types and styles.


• A portfolio of work with photos showcasing your grooming skills across a variety of breeds.


• Excellent knowledge of grooming techniques, breed-specific cuts, and industry best practices.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their grooming preferences.


• Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.


• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being and care.


• Physical ability to handle pets of varying sizes and weights.
