Full Job Description

As a trainee Internal Verifier, your main responsibility will be to understand the IQA standards for the organisation and ensure all the assessment practices are carried out to meet the required standards. Verify the work produced by the assessors, identify the areas of improvement and effectively mentor them and enable the assessors to produce high quality work. Ensure full compliance with the requirements of external bodies and Awarding Organisations is in place. You will also provide support, feedback, and training to other IQAs, monitor learner progression, and coordinate IQA standardisation meetings.

Trainee IV - Duties:

· Carry out Internal Verification process for all the feedback / grades provided to the learners' submissions.

· Create reports based on the findings from the verification of the feedback / marking provided by the assessor.

· Carry out the process of assessing the assignment briefs prior to publishing.

· Sample qualifications according to the sampling plan, risk banding, and IQA strategy.

· Provide feedback and support to other assessors to develop their practice and ensure adherence to systems and processes.

· Track the progress of the assessors to ensure the IQA standards are achieved.

· Conduct monthly / quarterly training sessions with the assessors and discuss the areas of improvement required.

· Provide feedback and advice to assessors to improve assessment practices.

· Conduct learner interviews to ensure quality delivery in line with the IQA strategy.

· Monitor, support, and coordinate the work with other assessors.

· Conduct observations and standardisations for assessor development in a timely manner.

· Collaborate with Assessors to ensure timely marking of work and effective communication with learners.

· Support IQA team in assessing assessor performance and contribute to performance reviews.

· Identify and address Learning and Development needs of the assessors to ensure their competence in fulfilling their role.

· Report suspected malpractice or maladministration to the Manager to maintain program integrity.

· Monitor learner progression and escalate any concerns.

· Complete all IQA documentation following Awarding Organisation and company standards.

General Duties:

· Update and upskill personal and professional knowledge through educational opportunities and networking events.

· Participate in project work assigned by senior management.

· Adhere to information security policies, procedures

· Understands and applies the principles of internal quality assurance to follow, evaluate and improve verification policies, systems, and processes.

· Operational competence in the area of work that is being assessed.

· Prior experience in conducting assessments in the area of work that is being assessed.

· Understands and applies the principles of assessment moderation and standardisation.

· Good working knowledge on MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PPT and Teams).

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Good working knowledge on IT equipment, Laptops and Computers.

Mandatory Qualification:

· Assessor Award (A1/TQA/CAVA)

(3-5yrs of assessment experience will be an advantage)

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or relevant Qualification in a Business / Administration stream.

· Internal Verifier awards (V1/IQA), · Competent and operating within the Higher Education domain with demonstrated experience of Training of Assessors ('Assessor Standard') or hold another certificate in assessing vocational achievement.

· Good knowledge and understanding of the Awarding bodies, IQA requirements, training fundamentals, academic documentation, etc.
