Full Job Description

This is a new role, which has been created to add capacity to the academy at a middle-leadership level. The post holder will be a highly effective Y6 teacher as well as leading the Y6 teaching team to ensure that the quality of education is excellent, and Y6 outcomes are the highest they can be.

Who are we?

Manchester Communication Primary Academy opened its doors in September 2014 to a small cohort of EYFS/Y1 children, since then it has grown by a 2-form year group each year. The school is now full, with over 450 pupils on roll.

Our last Ofsted inspection graded the school as 'Good' stating that 'pupils feel welcome, cared for and safe at this friendly school. From the Nursery Year up to Year 6, pupils love coming to school because they know that staff will take excellent care of them.'

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an excellent teacher and inspirational leader, who will lead by example, demonstrating proactivity and positivity in all situations. You will be a support to colleagues, pupils and families, leading and developing the quality of provision in Y6, and supporting Y5 as needed (because they are next year's Y6).

What does the role involve?

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join an effective team, work with inspirational pupils and diverse families.

The successful candidate will be class-based. You will demonstrate excellence through your teaching. You will lead on Y6 provision and outcomes; ensuring that staff are well organised, pupils well supported and taught, and that interventions are effective.

When does the role start?

September 2024

If I'm still interested, what should I do next?

We think that applying for a new role should always be seen as a 2-way process, you have to be right for us, but the school also has to be right for you. So if you are interested in applying, please do feel free to get in touch, come for a look around, or have a chat about the role.
