An exciting opportunity exists for an Acting Branch Librarian at Crickhowell Community Library, to cover for the existing Branch Librarian.

Crickhowell Community Library is manged by Crickhowell High School in partnership with Powys Library Service for the benefit of both students and the community.

Experience of working in a public library is essential along with experience of using ICT.

Duties include:

To be responsible for the efficient and effective day to day operational management of the branch library

To ensure that procedures and practices are applied effectively and consistently, in line with service and corporate policies and statutory regulations

To ensure that the stock in the library is current, relevant and customer focused in line with service policies

To be responsible for the safe and secure operation of all financial systems and procedures in the branch library

To promote reading and foster better awareness of library services through promotion, customer care and all other appropriate means
