Full Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and growing relationships, across a portfolio of client accounts, to identify, develop and win new opportunities.

The Account Manager, under the guidance of the Executive Account Manager or Executive Account Director/Strategic Account Manager, collaborates with clients and stakeholders cross-functionally to generate demand for Insight's solutions and services, embed Insight as the preferred 'partner of choice' and advance the maturity of client engagements in accordance with the client value layer model.,

  • May be required to identify, qualify, develop and or close sales opportunities, with new and or existing clients, to achieve or exceed individual revenue and or GP targets, dependent upon the technology, solution and or service provided.

  • Establish and develop strong relationships with clients and teammates internally (within Systems, Purchasing or other functions) which are built upon trust to ensure the utmost level of client satisfaction through the provision of an exceptional client experience.

  • Contribute to the development of account plans across the client base to identify opportunities based upon client pain points and needs and or maintain strong business relationships and retain existing revenue and or GP.

  • Forge close and meaningful relationships with vendor partner and or account teams across the strategic vendors of both the client and Insight.

  • Act as the 'day-to-day resource' for the clients hardware and or software needs, establish and maintain strong relationships with teammates cross-functionally to support/manage those needs, and escalate matters accordingly.

  • Identify opportunities to proactively cross-sell/up-sell Insight's solutions and or services, maximise margin and win rates through the deal registration and bid programmes and attach services to otherwise transactional opportunities.

  • Manage the end-to-end renewal process for existing accounts by using account management techniques effectively to ensure client retention.

  • Produce and or close sales quotes in compliance with Insight's internal guidelines to achieve or exceed revenue-based and or GP targets. Be accountable for driving hardware and or software recurring revenue streams by following sales processes.

  • Use the appropriate support functions and promote digital platforms to optimise the procurement of hardware and or software and ensure the client benefits from a world-class experience.

  • Provide forecast and pipeline information to stakeholders when required and manage/maintain detailed, accurate contact information (for clients or prospects) and data within the relevant systems.

  • Ensure strict compliance with, and adherence to, Insight's policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate closely with sales teammates to support with the development of a compelling and strategic annual business plan.

  • Contribute to sales pitches, bids and or tenders under the guidance of the Executive Account Manager or Executive Account Director/Strategic Account Manager.

  • Consultative sales experience in technology (hardware, software, services), can evidence achieving or exceeding assigned sales targets -Holds relevant professional qualifications, accreditations and or certifications (such as Sales Methodology or vendor certifications)

  • Elevated level of written and spoken English -A confident, enthusiastic and proactive communicator

  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office 365 (such as Teams, Outlook, Excel and Word) -Experience of utilising customer insight data to improve service delivery

  • Ability to grasp a deep understanding of

  • Insight's solutions and or services offerings -Ability to engage and quickly establish strong working relationships with partners/vendors

  • Demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the use of procurement tools to ensure the effective processing of sales queries and orders -Demonstrates knowledge of modern business processes and trends, and the impact of leading-edge IT solutions

  • Ability to quickly build rapport and develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their business and challenges and credibly provide solutions -Ability to recognise both internal and external clients and demonstrates willingness to cooperate with them fully to help them achieve their desired objectives

  • Ability to articulate in written format responses to the clients day to day needs and that of bids and tenders -Understands basic financial and commercial terms such as profit and loss, balance sheet, cost of sale, budget, leasing etc.
