We are recruiting for a Acute Oncology Administrator / HCA who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "great people, great place"., This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Administrator/Care Support Worker to provide administration support to the Acute Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist Team. This includes recording of data, cancer nurse specialist activity, monitoring telephones and assisting with development of risk stratified pathways, health promotion and practical skills to support the team

This post will work in collaboration and support of the Acute Oncology Team to help develop and deliver services across organisational, professional, and geographical boundaries. This role will work closely with key areas of the Trust, forging close working relationships with the visiting Oncologist from the Cancer Centres, the medical and cancer teams.

It is essential that you possess a high level of up-to-date relevant knowledge, secretarial and administration skills and practical clinical experience in dealing with patients who have cancer, oncology or specialist palliative care needs. You must be highly motivated with excellent communication skills, keen to learn and develop in practical skills i.e. cannulation.

Working with the Acute Oncology Nurse Specialist Team this post will assist the implementation and assessment of the service against the Cancer Outcome Services Data set and NHSi Quality Measures.
