Assistant Head Greenkeeper

We are seeking a positive, hands-on and motivated Assistant Head Greenkeeper, with a minimum 3 years' relevant experience to join our small team. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining our course, driving range outfield and estate in a well-kept and visually appealing manner.

Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Head Greenkeeper and collaboratively with all colleagues

- Assume responsibility in the absence of the Head Greenkeeper

- Train and mentor assistants

- Excellent time-keeping and flexible, cooperative attitude

- Ensure the highest standards of presentation on our 9-hole par 3, Academy Course, Short-game area, Driving Range and all surrounding areas of the estate

Minimum 3 years' greenkeeping experience
- Ability to operate greenkeeping machinery

- A minimum of NVQ Level 2 Sports Turf Management or similar qualification

- Spraying certificates PA1, PA2, PA6; chemical handling and storage

- Good knowledge of irrigation and repairs, as well as Hunter control valves

- Machinery set-up, repairs and servicing

- Shaping and 360-degree digger experience very desirable

- Likewise, chainsaw licence a distinct advantage, though licencing training can be provided

- Full driving license required

£25,000 - £30,500 a year - Full-time
