Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate / Senior Associate to join our successful health employment team. You will be given plenty of client responsibility and exposure but at the same time be part of a supportive team environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a senior member of the team for support and personal development.
Introduction to the team
We support health organisations across the country in relation to workforce matters. That includes nationally reported employment tribunal litigation and high-level advisory work, such as restructure within the NHS and advice on matters of national importance.
Our clients include NHS England, NHS Trusts, GP practices, private hospital groups and other providers of healthcare services.,

  • Providing legal advice to a broad range of healthcare clients, across the NHS, primary care and private health sectors.

  • Undertake all aspects of employment law including drafting various employment documents, advising on maternity and paternity rights, discrimination, whistleblowing, employee relations issues, disciplinary matters and grievances, mediation, dismissals, redundancy and restructuring, TUPE and employment tribunal claims.

  • Transactional support.

  • Build and maintain client and internal relationships.

  • Contribute to business development.

    Qualified solicitor

  • Demonstrable experience in supporting an employment team.

  • The ability and experience of managing a caseload providing sound, pragmatic advice.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently.

  • Adheres to guidelines and procedures.

  • An understanding of clients' needs and expectations.

  • Flexibility in approach and a willingness to work outside normal office hours, if required.
